Baby Update & Mom of course

Well, all I can say is that is something you don't see everday. I am updating the blog from my phone, so I hope it works. I am trying to find a wireless connection to upload pictures soon. Yesterday around 5:59 PM, Davene Elizabeth Dixon entered Earth weighing a whopping 5 pounds 5.5 ounces, Chadwick Gates Dixon weighed 4 pounds 9 ounces and Thomas Wells Dixon weighed 4 pounds 2 ounces. Davene had a small breathing problem, but is in the big girls nursery now. Gates and Wells are now in the NICU, both have low blood sugar and need IVs, but should be okay. Ash is doing good, but she did lose a lot of blood, we are in good hands at the hospital and I know she will be okay. Here is one sneak peek of Davene until I can add more pictures from a computer.

Scratch the 10th, today is the day, I will update later

October 10th tentative birth date

Saturday, October 10th is on the schedule at the hospital, but we are still taking it day to day, so basically 11 more days at the most that has to be a record.

Happy Week 35

My sweet friend Kristin and her daughter Channing brought me a beautiful cake today to celebrate making it to week 35, which is one week past triplet term! Chad said 37 is our new goal, because that is the absolute maximum they will let triplets go. I'm glad he has such high hopes but I'm just trying to make it through the weekend!

Week 35

Well, I had the odds to make week 35 at 10 to 1, that is why I should not start a gambling website. Week 37 is the new goal, which would be a huge accomplishment. Heartbeats are good, blood pressure is fine, now we play the waiting game. Ash is hanging in there besides the fact that inside her belly 3 babies wrestle around like Jon Gosselin showing up on The View. We will keep you posted.

34 Weeks - Illegal Bedrest Mari Max Driveby shoe try on

Chad posted this photo with no explanation, so I thought it would be in my best interest to tell you guys that I was NOT wearing this outfit as it might need some tights and no giant triplet belly. I could not resist a Mari Max drive by and a shoe try on. Love the new bootie at the store. With our bags packed yet again, we went to see the high risk guys in Jacksonville today, and they sent me home. Everything looks good! Last time we went, the doctor said that out of 350 or so triplets he has had 7 that have made it to 37 weeks. He said I could be number 8. I have no idea how much more my stomach can stretch in 3 more weeks, but I'm game if the triplets are. They would be so healthy and I could possibly deliver here at home instead of Jacksonville which would be needed for the NICU if we don't get at least to 36 weeks. We are blessed to have made it this far. Average triplet delivery is 32 weeks and making 34 weeks is probably the biggest accomplishment of my life. I still get around pretty well, and I'm thankful that complications have been minimal. Don't get me wrong, I've had every symptom in the book times 3 (some mentionable and some unmentionable), but I've been fortunate not to have major issues and hospitalization. This could all change overnight, so please continue your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery. I cannot thank everyone enough for all your words of support, care, concern, meals, and prayers. Love, Ash

Multiple moms

Ash checking out the nursery when she is not on bed rest

Hospital Visit

This is how each hospital monitoring visit looks for Ash, a contraction monitor for her, a heart monitor for each baby, and blood pressure monitor on her arm. Not to mention the IV that was in earlier. Dr. Strickland just came in everything looks great, the chances of any major problems is minimal since we have surpassed week 32, blood pressure is fine, cervix strong, all the babies have strong hearts. Week 34 is looking more and more realistic, we go back to the doctor on Tuesday.

Dr. visit today

We had a little surprise today when we went for Ashly's check-up. Her first reading of blood pressure was high, so as a precaution she has to go to the maternity center for monitoring. All the lab results indicated everything is fine for now. When Dr. Brock said he had to send her over, my eyes got wider than Weaver's gold chain in high school (only a few of you will get that). We are back at home tonight and everything is fine. The countdown is on, we go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon, will keep you posted......

Mr. Darcy got a new trim

Week 32 is approaching

So we survived week 31 and week 32 is on Friday. Ash is on bed rest and I know it is tough, but she will be able to make it. We go to the doctor tomorrow for a check up, keep your fingers crossed.
