Just another Manic Sunday

I have been lazy the past 2 weeks on updating the blog, but here is my excuse. Preseason Football, Golf, and college football preview, just kidding. We have been preparing for the final stretch. Sunday became a different story for a change; Ash had been doing so good and all of the sudden we find ourselves at the maternity center on Sunday afternoon with Ash having contractions. No worries, she took a bunch of drugs that I can not pronounce and the contractions are under control, plus her cervix is still the bomb. Now we are at week 30, which is a huge accomplishment and hopefully we can make is to week 32, week 34 and we are home free. Regardless of the goals, week 30 is an enormous accomplishment and we should be proud. If anyone wants to place a wager in honor of football season, here are the odds:

week 31 3 to 1
week 32 4 to 1
week 33 5 to 1
week 34 6 to 1
week 35 10 to 1
week 36 Divorce

Dog Days of Summer

Surf's up for Walker, which wave should he take.

Week 29 will be here Friday, my time flies

We visit the doctor tomorrow to get another update. The past few days we have been on vacation, our last vacation for a while at Palm Coast. I actually read 2 parenting books on this vacation, Baby Wise and Preparation for Parenting, for real, no cliff notes. We will see how they prepare me for the real life situation. I will post tomorrow about the doctor's visit. Ash still looks like she is only having one baby.

Week 28

So we have made it to week 28 and Ash is measuring like it is week 42. The babies weigh 3 pounds 1 ounce, 3 pounds 5 ounces, and 2 pounds 13 ounces. They are growing very well and the cervix is still very strong. It looks like mid September at minimum since Ashly is doing so good.

Some new pictures from the doctor's visit, they are getting hard to see...

Friday will be week 28

So many of you are asking about the actual due date, and since the abacus is a little outdated, let me break down the possibilities. Around September 1st would be week 32 which is average delivery of triplets. Week 34 is a desirable delivery date with fewer complications. We are guaranteed to go early and are shooting for week 34 (Herschel Walker's jersey number, as if you did not know). Full term would be the end of October which conflicts with GA/FLA. All kidding aside mid-September is the goal, any day after that is gravy. We go to Mitch tomorrow and hopefully I will have some new pictures.

we are at week 27, FYI

One of the boys was kicking last night...

I felt the first kick at least for me, they have been kicking Ash for a while!!!!!

Nursery in progress pictures....

Here some pictures on the progress of the nursery. I have gone with an 18th century english theme and incorporated the beach cottage theme where appropriate. My super organizational skills have already taken place in the closet. Side note: anyone who knows me, knows the prior comments are false. Ash has worked hard on the nursery and her friends Mary and Sarah have helped with the decor theme and design.

And the Cervix of the Year Award goes to.............Ash

These pictures are a little blurry, Ash is going to have scan them into the computer, I took these with my phone since everybody wanted to see them. The doctor's visit went extremely well. The baby girl weighs 2.4 pounds the boys are 2.1 and 2 pounds. I will let Ash comment on how she feels in the next blog, since I am not the one carrying triplets.

Night out on the town

update

Sorry that I have been weak on the blogs, but we have a doctor's appointment tomorrow in Jacksonville and I promise to update everything. Carl and Kim Coolidge hosted an extremely nice baby shower 2 weeks ago, unfortunately, we did not get any pictures. I will try and post some pictures of the gifts from the shower and the progress of the nursery in the next few days. Ash is doing awesome, no complaints whatsoever. I am so lucky, I even get to go on a golf trip this weekend. No bed rest yet, but we will see what the doctor has to say tomorrow. Also, everyone that keeps offering help, I have made a list and will be in contact. Take care and I will update tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed.

Doctor's visit update-Week 22

The doctor's visit went extremely well besides the fact that Ashly had a hour and a half ultra sound. The hearts of each baby are in great shape. They each weigh at least a pound. Baby C (boy) weighs 1 pound and 2 ounces. The doctor's basically said we are boring with no complications.

The first picture below is when we first discovered we were having triplets, the photos that follow that picture are current photos of each baby.

Doctor Appt. Wednesday

We head to the doctor on Wednesday and hopefully will get a good report.  Ash is doing well, but she has a cold, she has been a real trooper.  I am still trying to land a show on TLC, let me know if anyone has any contacts.

The Nursery

My Friday evenings are certainly changing. My friend Craig came over with a little adult beverage bribery to help me assemble the cribs, turns out no tools were required. We had the cribs put together at a record pace, official time was 2 beers. Anyway, check out the pics.

Week 21 Update

Ash just got back from 4 days at the Atlanta market and came back with a car load of cribs and clothes. Mary McKenzie, our good friend helped me unload the 3 lightweight dual steel constructed cribs, at least they can survive a category 5 hurricane. I am sure just like the last crib that it will be simple to assemble. We took most of the new stuff to my parent's house. As you tell from the pictures below the baby stuff is probably driving my dad crazy, since he is the most organized person in the world. All in all, Ash is doing good and we are getting the nursery built little by little.

Pre-Season Training

We went to the Weavers' for some practice tonight. I may be speaking to soon, but when they are less than a week old its a breeze. They have given us a lot of good tips, and hopefully we can use their advice. Ash will be at week 20 on Friday and we go back to the doctor in 2 weeks. She is still doing well. Oh, the Weaver's new boy's names are Thomas and Sam.

Week 19

Week 19 has been achieved and Ash is feeling well, we did a little work on the nursery this weekend. My parents basement looks like Babies R Us with all the stuff we are starting to collect. Our friends the Weavers' had twins on Friday and they are doing well, that gives them 5 boys total, yeah that is what I said too.

Week 18.5

We are at week 18 and 1/2 and Ash is doing well. We have 2 doctor's appointment tomorrow in Jacksonville to get updates. I am not sure if we will have any new pictures, but hopefully we will. It looks like it is going to be a very hot summer, so keep Ash in your thoughts and prayers.
